Dr. Jennifer L. Brazzell, DVM, MVetSc, Dipl ACVP (Clinical and Anatomic), MRCVS, Veterinary Pathologist is a 2000 graduate of the University of Saskatchewan, Western College of Veterinary Medicine. She was formerly a practicing veterinarian and co-owner of two small animal/exotics practices in Canada. After completing a residency in Clinical Pathology at the University of Minnesota, she joined the staff of a local laboratory as a staff pathologist. After several years, she decided to expand her horizons and returned to the University of Saskatchewan Western College of Veterinary Medicine to complete a residency in Anatomic Pathology and earned a Masters in Veterinary Science degree.
Her interests include tick-borne diseases, coagulation, and hematopathology and she has published several scientific papers on these and other topics. She has provided continuing education on in-house laboratory quality assurance, hematology, hemostasis, cytology, endocrinology, interpretation of biochemical tests, and tick-borne diseases to veterinarians and veterinary technologists worldwide by lecturing at local and national veterinary meetings and running and participating in several VIN and VSPN Rounds sessions. She is an active member of the American Society for Veterinary Clinical Pathology Education, Outreach, and Quality Assurance and Laboratory Standards committees.
