Dr Melissa Meachem graduated from the University of Saskatchewan, Western College of Veterinary Medicine in 2008. After practicing for a year as a small animal veterinarian, she returned to the Western College of Veterinary Medicine to begin a residency in Clinical Pathology. In 2012, she attained her ACVP board certification in clinical pathology and was awarded a MVetSc degree for her research in feline pancreatic disease. Since then, she has worked as a clinical pathologist in both Canada and the UK. Dr. Meachem’s interests include many aspects of veterinary clinical pathology, including cytopathology, hematopathology, and endocrinology. She continues to be involved in various research projects ranging from feline diabetes to equine respiratory disease.
